About the Festival
MiraBan UK Film Awards (MUFA) is a British, BFI Film Fund-supported film festival, London-based, focused on showcasing diversity in auteur movies. Member of Film Hub London, MUFA provides a spotlight for under-represented, emerging, and experienced independent filmmakers.
MUFA is a curated public festival listed on the British Council Festival Directory.
Awards & Filmmaker Benefits
All finalist films are presented as part of the MiraBan UK Film Awards programme at Ealing Picturehouse, with finalists also receiving access to our Film Industry Forum, including networking, mentoring, industry talks, workshops and professional development opportunities.
Selected winners receive a combination of trophies, certificates, winners’ laurels and partner prizes, including access to our Festival Promotion, Funding & Distribution Strategies course.

We work with our selected filmmakers to ensure films are presented to the highest possible standard and ask finalists to provide all required screening and promotional materials within the requested deadlines.

Cash awards / prizes: 🏆 𝗠𝗜𝗥𝗔𝗕𝗔𝗡 𝗣𝗜𝗧𝗖𝗛 𝗙𝗜𝗟𝗠 𝗙𝗨𝗡𝗗+
You can submit a short film treatment (500 words), or a feature film treatment (1500 words max), or a video pitch to win £𝟱𝟬𝟬,𝟬𝟬 𝗖𝗔𝗦𝗛 𝗔𝗪𝗔𝗥𝗗. Finalists will gain free access to both festival days and will be invited to pitch live at the festival. The Winner will be announced during the festival awards ceremony.

The MiraBan Post Production Film Fund has been created to support independent filmmakers in need of professional post-production assistance.
The fund includes:
A post-production support package valued £𝟱𝟬𝟬𝟬, including access to experienced creative and technical collaborators from post through to DCP-ready delivery
Festival promotion & distribution strategy course kit
An official theatrical screening in London as part of the MiraBan UK Film Awards
