Festival Verification
What Does the Verified Badge Mean?
The Verified Badge shows that a festival has passed Festival Radar's ethical standards review. It means:
- ✓ Winners receive free awards (not sold)
- ✓ Screening takes place at a real venue (or online with clear evidence)
- ✓ Festival organizers meet professional standards
- ✓ Filmmakers can expect transparent communication
Important: Not a Guarantee
Festival Radar verification is NOT a guarantee. The annual review fee ($49/year) covers the verification review process only. Approval is not certain. If rejected, admin decides whether the fee is refunded, credited, or treated as a non-refundable review fee.
Automatic Rejection Rule
Festivals that sell trophies, certificates, or laurels are automatically rejected
If we discover that winners must purchase trophies, certificates, plaques, or any other award recognition, the application will be rejected. Verification can be suspended or removed if the festival breaches Festival Radar standards.

If approved, your “Verified Organizer” badge appears on your festival profile.
